Mark is a consistently strong producer with commercial mortgage origination expertise, underwriting, structuring and workout skills. Also a top multifamily DUS originator in addition to having strong commercial origination relationships. Multi-family development, ownership, management and leasing experience. Over 20 years of industry relationships include FNMA DUS, Freddie Mac, FHA, national and local commercial bankers, investment bankers, small and large life companies, attorneys, loan servicers, sales, leasing and financing brokers. Proven track record of developing and executing business plans into strategically focused organizations through vision-inspired leadership in the area of commercial mortgage banking and lending.

Mr. Scott founded Commercial Mortgage Capital Corp. (CMC) in 1996 and has provided over $3.7 billion of dollars of debt and equity for his clients in that time.

Prior to starting CMC, Mark established a new division for Weichert, known as Weichert Commercial Mortgage. He was the Director of Product Origination & Marketing for the CMBS & Finance Group at Barclays Capital. Mark was a top producer for CB Commercial Real Estate Group and at Cronheim Mortgage Company, Inc. Mark started his career as a Commercial Real Estate Lending Officer with Chase Manhattan Bank in 1984. Mark has appeared on Bloomberg TV and ABC Viewpoint and is a regular contributor to Real Estate Forum and Real Estate New Jersey in addition to monthly commercial real estate columns. He is often featured on GlobeSt.com as an industry expert. Mark is a member of the Urban Land Institute, MBA, NAIOP and IOREBA.

Mark graduated magna cum laude from University of Connecticut with a BS in Business Administration, Finance/Real Estate Urban Economic Studies and received his MBA from Purdue University.

Mr. Scott appeared in April 2009 on Bloomberg TV as a guest speaker on Commercial Real Estate Finance. He is regularly quoted by CNN in the their commercial real estate columns, has appeared on WABC-TV Viewpoint New York, and is a regular contributor to Real Estate New Jersey, GlobeSt.com, Mid Atlantic Real Estate Journal and Real Estate Forum magazines.

Mark is a member of the National Mortgage Bankers Association and has served on the Urban Land Institute (ULI) national multifamily council. He has consulted for the Appraisal Institute in addition to the National Association of Realtors.

Mr. Scott is active in his hometown of Sparta, NJ. He is a member of the Sparta Economic Development Commission and coordinates and teaches Sparta’s Junior Achievement program. In addition Mr. Scott is President of the Freedom House Board of Trustees in Glen Gardner, NJ.
